Programs for Kids
Have a child that is interested in scuba? These programs are a great way to get the whole family involved and make new memories.Once your child has turned 15 they can upgrade their certification card so that they will no longer have the age -related restrictions.
Bubblemaker (ages 8+)
Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. Parental approval is required. This a super fun way for kids to experience scuba!
Seal Team (ages 8+)
The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions. Have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? Beyond learning basic scuba skills, there are specialty AquaMissions, such as wreck diving, navigation, buoyancy, environmental awareness and more. PADI Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world. To join the PADI Seal Team, a child must be 8 years of age or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. Parental approval is required.
PADI Junior Open Water (ages 10-14)
If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Junior Open Water Diver course. Discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course. You must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
